![]() These Macs are not on AD and users can rename files folder providing they do not open them or folders further down the file structure So i know this isn't a permission issue in the traditional senseġ0.6 has issues using SMB from Windows Servers. Installing SFM (services for mac) which gives me the ability to create Mac shares but the mac clients are Changing the owner of files to Network service ![]() turning of indexing of items this didn’t work and also left the users unable to search the share These open files and folders cannot be renamed or moved until the User either ejects the connection (closes the connection) to the share or If I go onto the server and close the file. The problem we are encountering now is when the Macs accesses the share via SMB it continuously opens Files and directories and does not close them. ![]() #Share mac files with windows 10 upgrade#The design studio require a area to share documents we provided them with a windows share on our 2003 R2 server which was fine until we upgraded the machines to 10.6 (Or so Im told the upgrade happened before I got started here) We currently run a windows environment but have a design studio with a couple of Mac Pro's running 10.6.
